We are proud to continue this ACEC California tradition and are excited to welcome our member firms back for another in-person Legislative Visit Day! On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, California Engineers and Land Surveyors will gather in Sacramento to advocate for infrastructure, our sponsored legislation, and other industry issues with state legislators. The day will conclude with an evening Legislative Reception, providing further opportunities to connect and engage with Legislators, Legislative staff, State Agency officials, and many more.

Registration is now open, and includes a full schedule of events, hotel room block details, and sponsorship opportunities. Young Professional and First Time Attendee discounts are available.

ACEC California has negotiated a discounted room rate of $279++ a night at the Citizen Hotel. The room block deadline is April 24, 2026.

Recently, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) issued an Interim Final Rule (IFR) that removes the race- and gender-based presumptions of social and economic disadvantage in the DBE program. As a result, Caltrans has issued an Advisory on the DBE Program .

All ACEC California members are encouraged to participate in Legislative Visit Day (LVD). After an issues briefing and advocacy training, members move to the Capitol where (at pre-arranged meetings with legislators or staff) they lobby for the organization’s positions on important issues. An evening reception highlights the event where members meet and greet decision-makers in a social setting to discuss the day and current events.

Nor Cal ACEC PAC Fundraiser at the Jacuzzi Family Winery in the beautiful Sonoma Valley

The ACEC PAC is the political arm of ACEC’s advocacy national efforts. The PAC supports federal candidates (U.S. House & Senate only) from both political parties who support the engineering industry’s business agenda in Congress. ACEC’s PAC raised over $1 million annually in the past few years and is in the top 3% of all federal trade association PACs.

To help meeting the 2022 fundraising goal, the Bay Bridge, East Bay, Marin, Monterey Bay Area, Napa/Solano, North Coast, and Sierra chapters invites you and your firm employees and guests to an afternoon wine tasting event at the Jacuzzi Family Winery in the beautiful Sonoma Valley on Sunday, April 24, 2022, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. The event will include two hours exclusive use of the Vineyard Vista venue, privately hosted casual wine tasting of four wines upon arrival (45 minutes), followed by bottle service for the second hour, gourmet cheese & charcuterie and door prizes.

The event is funded jointly by the 7 chapters and capped at 50 attendees. RSVP by April 17, 2022 at the link shown on the attached flyer. Special discounted pricing is extended to young members (35 years & younger) to encourage their participation in this event.

For every $50 donated at the event’s link, member will receive an event onsite door prize ticket, a ticket to each of the State Spring Sweepstakes to be held on March 31st (if the member signs up for the event before March 31, 2022 at noon PDT). The State Spring Sweepstake has a total of $2,000 in prizes:$250, $250, $500, and $1000.

Additionally, member will receive an ACEC National Sweepstakes ticket for every $200 in contributions made at this event and be eligible to win $1,000 to $10,000 in prize money. This drawing will happen on May 23, 2022 during the ACEC National Convention in Washington, D.C.

Also, there will be an onsite raffle to win the following prizes (description and value of prizes will be updated upon receiving each donated chapter feedback):

Dina has 23 years of service with Caltrans, and her leadership experience spans three Caltrans Districts and multiple Divisions. Her most recent assignment has been the Acting District Director, Caltrans District 4, Bay Area. Prior, she served as Chief Deputy District Director for Caltrans District 4. While much of her career has been in District 4 and District 7, Los Angeles, Dina also served in District 12, Orange County, as the Deputy District Director of Operations and Maintenance.

As District 4 Director, Dina manages a $2 billion budget of inhouse and oversight investments and leads nearly 3,500 staff. She remains focused on implementing the Department’s new Mission, Vision and Goals, building and strengthening partnerships, and continuing to work towards multimodal, safe and reliable transportation solutions that equitably serve all people of the Bay Area.

Dina possesses a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and an M.S. degree from Long Beach State University in Construction Management. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
